Elder Lloyd W. Cartwright, Jr., Senior Pastor

COME LET US BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD TOGETHER is often quoted by Elder Lloyd W. Cartwright, Jr. the Pastor of Peaceful Community Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA. Since 1978, when he gave his life to Christ Pastor Cartwright has given his life to the service of the KINGDOM. Although he was saved at Mt. Hermon Church of God (where his grandfather the late Bishop Thomas C. Cartwright was Pastor), he was spiritually nurtured by the late Mother Lillian Hill( the pastor of Mt. Hebron Church of God). Whatever he found his hands to do, He did it as unto the Lord. His resposibilities increased in 1980 when he was ordained to the work of a deacon. Two years later he was lisenced as a minister. His efforts to build the Kingdom were often noticed as he preached, taught, and ministered skillfully. As his ministry grew he found himself serving under the leadership of his father Bishop Lloyd W. Cartwright, Sr. who pastored National Church of God in Philadelphia, PA. There his gifts made room for him while serving as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Director and The Ministers Board. His faithfullness to God and the Church, led him to be appointed Assistant Pastor of the Church.

He later served under the pastorship of the late Rev. Mary Regina Younger, his Spiritual Mother who pastored Evangelical Fellowship Baptist Church. Over the years of his membership, he labored in many capcities of the church and served faithfully. Prior to pastorship, he became associated with Dr. Andrew H. Willis and the First Redemption Evangelical COGIC. He is currently serving Peaceful Community Baptist Church UFA( Founded by the Late Rev. Thomas Bryant) as Senior Pastor. The Lord has Given him a mandate for this church and is at the present time making every effort to perfect this Vision. Many new ministries have appointed and initiated since his pastorate. Many souls have been won and added to the church and Kingdom of God.

Aside from his local church, he is an active clergyman. He served on numerous boards and committiees throughout the city of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. He serves the United Fellowship Assemblies as a member of the General Board. Elder Cartwright is also the husband to his wife of over ten years, Evangelist Kim Cartwright. Together, they are the parents of seven children and grandparents to seven. Elder Cartwright is a truly a Mighty man of Valor.
